Lets imagine, you are at this fancy restaurant, you have your hippest friends around you, the ‘captain’ comes to take your order and starts discussing with you the beer you would like to have. Instantly, you know you are gonna have to leave immediately ‘to make an important phone call’, secretly wishing you would understand all these beer mumbo jumbo’s.

Pale ale is a beer which predominantly use pale (light colored, not too roasted) malt. It is one of the world’s major beer styles.
Stout and porter are dark beers made using roasted barley. There are a number of variations including Baltic porter, dry stout, and Imperial stout.
The name “porter” to describe a dark brown beer popular with the street and river porters of London. This same beer later also became known as stout.
Mild ale has a predominantly malty palate. It is usually dark colored with an above of 3% to 3.6%.
Wheat beer is brewed with a large proportion of wheat although it often also contains a significant proportion of malted barley. E.g. Hoegaarden
Lambic, a beer of Belgium, is naturally fermented using wild yeasts, rather than cultivated ones.
Lager is cool fermented (bottom fermentation) beer. Pale lagers are the most commonly consumed beers in the world.
In terms of sales volume, most of today’s beer is based on the pale lager, which has a typical alcohol by volume content of around 5%.
The Pilsner Urquell, Bitburger, and Heineken brands of beer are typical examples of pale lager, as are the American brands Budweiser, Coors, and Miller.

Pilsner (also pilsener or simply pils)
A type of pale lager which accounts for more than two-thirds of the beer produced in the world. The world’s first blond lager, the original Pilsner Urquell, is still produced there today.
A type of German beer, this beer has a heavier taste than most lagers, darkened by high-colored malt.
In dry beer, nearly all the sugar is converted into alcohol due to long fermentation periods, resulting in a crisp, clean finish with less aftertaste. In India you can have Asahi, if you want to try one.
Draught/draft/ keg beer:
Draught beer, also called draft, is beer served from a cask/ barrel/ keg rather than from a bottle or can. Draught beer served from a pressurized keg is also known as keg beer.
A microbrewery or craft brewery is a brewery that produces small amounts of beer. It’s independently owned. Categorized by their emphasis on quality, flavor and brewing technique.
Samuel Adams reached 20% above with Millennium, and then surpassed that amount to 25.6% above with Utopias by using the traditional brewing processes.
The weakest beers are dealcoholized beers, which typically have less than 0.05% alcohol (also called “near beer”) and light beers, which usually have 4% alcohol.
Beer ranges from less than 3% alcohol by volume (above) to around 14% above, though this strength can be increased to around 20% or a 55 % by using non-traditional process.
